Summary Act 4

• Paris plans his wedding with Friar Lawrence.

• Juliet and Parris talk.

• Juliet isn’t happy to see Parris.

• When Paris leaves Juliet threatens to kill herself if she has to marry Parris.

• Friar Laurence gives Juliet a potion to make Juliet appear dead for the sake of Romeo and Juliet.

• Friar says everyone will think she is dead and she will wake up in the Capulet tomb

• Friar also plans to send a letter to Romeo so he’s aware of the situation.

• Juliet goes home and pretends she wants to marry Paris

• Lord Capulet is so excited and stays up all night making wedding plans

• Juliet has convinced everyone to leave her alone so she can take her potion

• She drinks it and falls onto her bed

• Everyone is running around getting ready for the wedding

• The Nurse discovers Juliet's body

• everyone is very upset

• Friar shows up and tells them to take Juliet to the tombs
